DETAILS:
Check your email and log in to Canvas EVERY DAY.
Students are expected to attend classes every day.
Daily Assignments Classwork and discussions are due daily (same day) by 11:59pm on Canvas. They cover a variety of business and related topics. including covering what was taught in class and checking in with students. They are graded.
TESTS must be completed within 24 hours of assignment unless specifically agreed by teacher in email. IF YOU MISS A TEST IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO COORDINATE WITH ME TO MAKE IT UP SOON AFTER.
Weekly Work - All larger projects that take time to complete will be due at the end of each week (Fridays) on Canvas unless otherwise directed. They will be discussed throughout the week so each student should be familiar with what needs to be done. If topics are not discussed to satisfaction during the week assignments can be pushed back at teacher’s discretion.
Make sure you are completing all required learning activities. There will be discussions, quizzes, assignments, projects, and tests for you to complete. Check these areas regularly and make sure you aren't missing anything. There is also a Canvas calendar you can check.
Updates As slideshows, assignments, and exit tickets get created and updated I will adjust Canvas to reflect so. This means that what is shown as your grade is not a true reflection of the grade that you should expect at the end of the semester. If something falls through the cracks please send me an email and I will work with you to correct that. Let’s all have patience with each other as we figure out distance learning. Please note assignments, etc. with blanks or zeroes must be made up soon after due for partial credit.
DO YOUR BEST. We all must do the best we can in order to get the most out of this class. If you don't understand the content, ASK. If you don't understand the assignment, ASK. If you have an issue talk to me as soon as you realize it. I'm happy to help!
- Late Work: Work is due on the assigned due date. Points will be deducted for at discretion of the teacher.
- Communicate with me. I am here to listen, to talk, to understand. I want you to succeed and enjoy learning about business. If you are struggling then let me know so we can figure out what we can do.
- Absences and Make-up Work -
Students are responsible for requesting makeup work the day they return from an absence.
Tests and quizzes may be made up before or after school as agreed by the teacher.
Due dates for projects made well in advance of an absence will not be extended! Don't wait until the last minute to complete your assignments!
Honesty: Cheating is against the school and classroom Honor Code. Copying any assignment is unethical and unacceptable, both by the person copying and the person who allowed their paper to be copied. Plagiarism is using information or original wording in a paper without giving credit to the source; it is also unacceptable. Plagiarism may be a new concept for you. We will discuss plagiarism and how to avoid it. If you are caught cheating, copying or plagiarizing, you will receive a zero on that assignment and a parent-teacher-student conference will be discussed.
