About Mrs.Hicks

It is with great enthusiasm that I start the 2023-2024 school year at Thomasville High School as your assistant principal. Along with the excitement, I am honored to be a part of Bulldog Nation, and I realize the great responsibility that I have to inspire, empower, and influence our youth, as well as the opportunity to positively impact the families, staff, and communities in support of our students. I strongly believe that students grow and achieve more when they are challenged and surrounded by involved and compassionate adults, both within and outside the walls of a school. I am greatly looking forward to working with the great staff and dedicated families of THS to give our students what each and every one of them deserves—a top-quality, rigorous education that will prepare them well for success inside and outside of the school building.

I bring almost 20 years of experience as an educator. I have served in positions as a High School Teacher of English, Testing Coordinator, Lead PBIS Coach, and District Behavior Liaison. No matter the role within education, I always return to my core values, including the idea that education is a social right-- not a privilege. Education is the great equalizer, an instrument to change the world. It is with the above-mentioned that I go forward to make a positive impact towards equity and excellence in our school so our students will make their own positive and lasting impact in our world.
