Introduction to ClassLink login portal.

good morning Bulldogs this is Miss Higgins with an important update it's going to make your life a whole lot easier the district has rolled out a new tool that is a login portal for you you know how now you have to remember all different logins your password your name all the different things will now you log into one place and from there you can get everywhere else without having to remember password so let's take a quick look and see how you get there and exactly what it is if you're on our THS website to rollover students the very first thing on menu is called class link which is the name of the login portal I'm also I put a shortcut button to class link right here on the homepage so let's take a look do you click on it you'll get to a page that like this in all you have to do is hit sign in with Google and as long as you're signed into your Chromebook with your school account or if you have other accounts like I do I just make sure I choose my school email an and it automatically logs me in and here is class link the portal so what is it just looks like a bunch of stuff well there are buttons each one of these is a button for a different two or website for example this NC Ed cloud is how you get to PowerSchool or canvas here's Edgenuity for those of you who are doing online courses like that Google Drive Google meet there's all different shortcuts here and all you have to do if your logged into class link is push the button so I push on Google Drive instead of my having to login again it comes right Google drawings if I want to go to Google me I click on that and it goes right to Google meet it knows who I am and I just hit join or start a meeting and type the nickname in and there you go now another neat thing about this is you can customize it so let's say there's buttons on here for things that I don't use well if you come up here to the top and click on edit mode then you can move for example Edgenuity I don't use Edgenuity so I can move it I actually have made a folder where I called not used and I'm going to click and put it right in there or maybe I don't use this one is much so I'm going to dry get here when you're done moving things around or getting rid of things just click on edit mode again and it takes you back the other thing is maybe there's a tool or a site that you use it's not on here you can click on what's button that will take you to a library where you can add new button if there's not a button for something you want talk to your teacher and they can request that one put on there okay NC Ed Cloud PowerSchool canvas when you click on this the very first time you'll have to login using your regular password and username but after that it's just a one click and it takes you there so hopefully this is going to make things a whole lot easier for you teachers are starting to use this eventually we will use only class link to get two things so play around with it questions ask your teachers or ask me and enjoy have a great day
