Membership Requirements

Membership Requirements

Membership in the chapter shall be based on scholarship, service, leadership, and character.

  • Candidates shall have spent at least one semester at Thomasville High School.  
  • Candidates eligible to election to the chapter shall have an unweighted GPA of 3.5 or a weighted GPA of 4.0 or higher..
  • A NHS member whose G.P.A. falls below a 3.5 unweighted or does not maintain the standards of the other three qualifications (service, leadership, and character)  shall be dismissed from the chapter or placed on a probation period. Dismissal or probation shall be determined by a majority vote of faculty members who are currently teaching the student.
