Our new school counselor, Ms. Tubbs, is hosting several upcoming senior information sessions!
October 13th:, 5:30-7:00pm, RDS Night- Residency Determination Service: For Seniors and Parents to learn about completing RDS and how it relates to college applications. Hosted by Next Step College Advisor, Ms. Kasual Marley. Location: Thomasville High School Media Center.
October 20th: 9:50-11:15am, Senior Meeting and College Application Week Kickoff in the Auditorium. During this meeting, Seniors will get information about Residence Determination, Free College Application Week, Financial Aid, Senior Information, Essays, Scholarships, College Application Process as well as formal introduction to counselors.
October 21st and 23rd: 12:30-1:30pm, College Application Week Work Sessions in the Media Center. This is for any senior wanting assistance with applying to participating colleges for FREE.
October 20th - 24th: Staff please post the college you attended, favorite college, or military branch on your door or in your class to promote a college going culture and spark a conversation with your students.
October 24th, Friday: Staff wear your college gear this day to promote the end of CAW
November 5th, Wednesday:
9:00am-9:45am Juniors will receive information about ordering school items with Herff Jones
10:00am-10:45am Seniors will receive information on cap and gown orders through Herff Jones.
November 6th: 5:30-7:00pm: FAFSA Night in the Media Center. During this time seniors and families will get information about FAFSA, the process, and some assistance with completing it. FAFSA Event Flyer
November 12th: 9:00am to 10:30am Ordering Day with Herff Jones.
December 1st: Senior Baby pictures and Senior ads are due to Ms. Overcash
December 15th: Order by this deadline to receive your cap and gown on time.
April 14th: Cap and Gown deliveries to the media center if you order by December 15th.
April 17th: Cap and Gown photos in the media center
June 6th: Graduation
