Important tasks:
1. Make sure you have formal attire for special events. Boys need a white button-down shirt, black pants and shoes, and a black tie (girls may also wear pants or a black or white school-appropriate dress) You will need these items for graduation.
2. Start planning for after high school. What do you want to do? How can you get there? If you want to go to work, what careers are interesting to you?  If you want to enlist in the military, what branch do you think you would like?  Talk to Col. Merkel and Sgt. Smith on requirements. If you want to go to college, start making plans to take the ACT and SAT if you haven't already.  Look into what colleges you would be interested in. Look into scholarships you can apply for. Start early!
Some have asked about scholarships. Ms. Geyer is working on a scholarship hub for seniors. Until then, here are some things to check out:
*This website to get you started:
*Start applying for FAFSA October 1st
*There is also a Steve Price scholarship just for THS students. See Ms. Geyer for more details.
*Finally, go to the website of your chosen college, community college, or trade school. Explore the financial aid and scholarship opportunities they have to offer.
